One of the interesting areas of baseball and baseball card collection that I have found was the discovery of family members that have played in the "BIGS". These discoveries include father-sons, brothers, cousins, uncles-nephews and more. Because of my interest in this, I started collecting these 'relations' cards as a special subset of my baseball card collection. Below is the detail of the cards that I currently have and those that I am seeking. If there are any are ones I am missing, please let me know. Enjoy!
These three Alou brothers, Matty, Felipe, and Jesus played in the major leagues at the same time and actually all started in the outfield at the same time for the same team. This rarity is one that has not been match and one that I truly appreciate. In addition, Felipe's son, Moises also had a stellar career in the Major Leagues. Below are the cards that I have of each these players and it is my quest to complete each full Topps issue runs for each player.
The Alomar family in the majors consisted of Sandy Alomar Sr. and his two sons Sandy Alomar Jr., and Roberto Alomar. Of the three, Roberto Alomar was the only one to make the MLB Hall of Fame, but all Alomar family members had notible careers.
This multi-generational MLB family spans three generations. Starting with Ray Boone, followed by his son Bob Boone, who then had two sons make the majors in Aaron and Bret.
Another prolific MLB family, the RIpken family contains an assortment of positions. Cal RIpken Sr. served as a coach and then manager of the Baltimore Orioles. He ended up managing both of this sons, Cal and Billy.

The Stottlemyre family was one of hurlers starting with the father, Mel Stottlemyre who pitched for the New York Yankees.
Following in his footsteps were sons Todd Stottlemyre and Mel Stottlemyre Jr. who both pitched in the Majors.​
